Angelo became interested in high-speed inter-networking and
supercomputing while pursuing a postgraduate medical science
degree at the University of the Witwatersrand (Wits), in South
Africa. He established one of the first companies in South
Africa to provide e-mail services, and later the second South
African business to provide commercial Internet services. With
his partners, he created one of the largest Internet Service
Providers in SA in 1994. At the end of 1997, Angelo left medicine
to focus full-time on inter-networking and Internet-related
businesses and associated opportunities. In 1998, he founded InfoSat,
the second company in the world to offer DVB/IP services via
satellite. Sentech, the largest satellite signal distributor
in Africa, acquired a majority stake in InfoSat in 2000. By
2003, InfoSat had become one of the largest satellite Internet
providers in the world, operating on 5 different satellites.
Between 2002 and 2003, Angelo guided Sentech as Group Executive:
Multimedia Services and was responsible for the technology
selection, business strategy and business management of the
new Sentech Multimedia business. In this regard, he led the
team that deployed Africa’s largest Broadband VSAT system,
as well as the first 3G-compliant wireless broadband network
on the African continent. Apart from his extensive Internet-based
telecoms experience, Angelo has engaged in extensive strategic,
policy and regulatory representations to the SA government & ICASA,
the South African Telecommunications regulator. As Blue Label
Telecoms Group CIO, Angelo is primarily responsible for Group
Transactional and Enterprise Systems Strategy, and together
with Dr. David Fraser (Group CTO – primarily responsible
for Mobile and Direct to Consumer initiatives), is also responsible
for ensuring that Blue Label remains ahead of the curve through
the development and operationalisation of new and innovative
technology solutions.

Suchit Dash is the Product Manager of PayPal Express Checkout. He
focuses on researching and developing best practices for PayPal by
conducting multivariate testing, usability testing and studying web
analytics through a variety of tools and vendors. Over the last three
years, Suchit has been integral on renewing PayPal's focus on improving
sales and conversion for the merchant. His research on web optimization
has led to dramatic improvements on the PayPal user experience ultimately
bringing incremental revenue to merchants across verticals. Prior
to his focus on Express Checkout, Suchit was on the large merchant
product management team focusing on the top 100 merchants at PayPal
and improving integrations across the board. His work was pivotal
to bringing branded merchants on board such as Wal Mart, Southwest
Airlines and Zappos.com. Suchit received a bachelors of science in
Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences and Economics from
Northwestern University.
