Tim O' Reilly
Founder and CEO
O'Reilly Media, Inc.
Tim O'Reilly is the founder and CEO of O'Reilly Media, Inc.,
thought by many to be the best computer book publisher in the
world. Tim is a catalyst for change, identifying and evangelizing
the knowledge of "alpha geeks" and technology trends
before they hit the mainstream through his books, speaking
engagements, and blog, the O'Reilly Radar.
Known for popularizing
the terms "open source" and "Web 2.0," Tim
is an activist for open standards and sensible intellectual
property laws. In addition to being a visionary, Tim is an
entrepreneur: he created Safari Books Online, the first web-native
service for online book content, and O'Reilly AlphaTech Ventures,
which funds disruptors, innovators, and hackers of the status
quo.
In addition to Foo Camps ("Friends of O'Reilly" which
gave rise to the "un-conference" movement), O'Reilly
Media hosts conferences on a wide range of technology topics,
including a new gathering called Gov 2.0 Summit, which explores
how technology can be a transformative force in government.

John
Donahoe
President and CEO
eBay Inc.
John became President and CEO of eBay Inc. on March 31, 2008.
In this role, John has global responsibility for growing each
of the company's business units, which include eBay Marketplaces,
PayPal and Skype.
John joined eBay in February 2005 as President of eBay Marketplaces,
responsible for all elements of eBay's global e-commerce businesses.
In this role, he focused on expanding eBay's core business,
which accounts for a large percentage of the company's revenues.
John also oversaw a number of strategic acquisitions, including
Shopping.com, StubHub and classifieds sites, such as Gumtree
and LoQUo.
During his three-year tenure as President of Marketplaces,
revenues and profits for the division doubled.
Prior to eBay, John spent more than 20 years at Bain & Company,
a worldwide consulting firm based in Boston. Starting as an
Associate Consultant, John rose to become the firm's CEO, where
he oversaw Bain's 30 offices and 3,000 employees.
In addition to serving on the Board of Directors for eBay
Inc. and Intel Corp., John is also on the Board of Trustees
of Dartmouth College. John received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics
from Dartmouth College and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate
School of Business.

Mark Carges
Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer
eBay Inc.
Mark joined the eBay Inc. leadership team in September 2008, overseeing
eBay Inc.’s platform as well as the technology architecture,
software development and site operations for eBay.com.
Prior to joining eBay Inc., Mark was executive vice president, products
and general manager, for the Business Interaction Division at BEA
Systems, a provider of enterprise application infrastructure software
which was acquired by Oracle in April 2008. During more than a decade
at BEA, Mark held a variety of senior technology leadership roles,
including Chief Technology Officer.
Mark began his career at Bell Labs as one of the original architects
of Tuxedo, software for constructing highly scalable transaction
processing applications. Prior to BEA, he designed and developed
early versions of Tuxedo at Bell Labs, Unix System Labs and Novell.
Mark holds a BA in Computer Science from the University of California
at Berkeley and an MS degree in Computer Science from New York University.

Scott Thompson
President
PayPal
Scott has been President of PayPal, an eBay Inc. company,
since January 2008. He has overall responsibility for extending
the company’s leadership position in online payments.
Scott previously served as PayPal's Senior Vice President and
Chief Technology Officer, where he oversaw information technology,
product development, and architecture for PayPal.
Prior to joining PayPal in February 2005, Scott worked for Inovant, a subsidiary
of Visa formed to oversee global technology for the organization. As Executive
Vice President of Technology Solutions at Inovant, he was responsible for all
development, support and maintenance of Visa's global payment system.
Scott was also Chief Information Officer of Barclays Global Investors, where
he implemented a new strategic technology platform and global infrastructure.
In addition, he has worked with Coopers and Lybrand, delivering information technology
solutions to leading financial services clients such as Wells Fargo.
Scott received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Computer Science from Stonehill
College. He serves on the Board of Directors of F5 Networks Inc. and Zuora, Inc.

Osama Bedier
Vice President
PayPal Platform and Emerging Technology
Osama Bedier is Vice President of the PayPal Platform and
Emerging Technology at PayPal, with overall responsibility
for the newly developed platform division. Osama joined PayPal
in 2002. During his almost seven years of tenure, Osama has
held multiple engineering and product development management
responsibilities including Next Generation eBay re-Architecture,
International Product development where he expanded PayPal’s
payment systems outside the U.S. and Merchant Services where
he was responsible for building the products for PayPal to
offer services “off-eBay.” Most recently, Osama
held the role of Vice President of Product Development for
all consumer and merchant facing products.
Prior to PayPal, Osama served as director of technology for
DG Systems Inc./Starguide Satellite Systems. As director of
technology, his team built and managed an innovative nationwide
internet “Cable TV” service with user targeted
advertising. Osama was also senior manager for eCommerce at
Gateway, Inc., where he played a significant role in re-architecting
and developing one of the largest ecommerce sites of that time.
In addition, he served as Web architect and team manager at
AT&T Wireless.
Osama received a bachelor’s degree in computer science
from University of California.

Damon Hougland
Senior Director of PayPal Platform
Damon Hougland is a geek. He is the Senior Director of the
PayPal Platform. This means he leads the Product Development
teams focused on creating PayPal's API service suites. He is
also co-author of three books on Java and wireless technologies.
He has a passion for all technologies that are viral and disruptive.
More than anything he wants to make developers on the PayPal
Platform successful beyond their wildest dreams.

Host: Naveed Anwar
Senior Director of PayPal Developer Network
Naveed leads all PayPal’s efforts with developers. As
the senior director of PayPal Developer Network, he leads a
team that evangelizes PayPal X and works closely with the developer
community for feedback on how PayPal can deliver the best global
payments platform possible for third party developers.
Naveed joined PayPal in August 2009 from 12 years in a variety of senior roles
at AOL. Naveed launched the AOL Developer Network in 2006. In just three years,
he built a network of more than 3 million AOL developers who created more than
20,000 apps that supported a dozen AOL businesses with total revenue of more
than $4 billion.
Naveed has more than 15 years of experience in identity, authentication, safety,
and security products. In addition to his work at PayPal, he is active in local
and international non-profits focused on education including his own family foundation
called the Anwar Foundation which
helps underprivileged communities around the world.

Brian joined Venrock in 1998 as a Kauffman Fellow, after holding
marketing and product marketing positions at Intuit, Inc. He
had responsibility for launching several versions of the market-leading
software product Quicken and the Quicken.com website. The job led
to a passion for the user experience for Brian, one that he continually
applies to consumer and software ventures.
He also brings strategy
skills gained at the Monitor Group and investment banking deal experience

Roelof Botha is a Partner at Sequoia Capital focusing on services
and software investments. Roelof’s current portfolio
responsibilities include Challenge Games, Gene Security Network,
Jawbone, Mahalo, Meebo, TokBox, Unity and Xoom. Prior to joining
Sequoia Capital in 2003, Roelof served as the Chief Financial Officer
of PayPal (EBAY). Earlier, he worked as a management consultant
for McKinsey & Company. Roelof is a certified actuary (Fellow
of the Faculty of Actuaries), and has a BS in Actuarial Science,
Economics, and Statistics from the University of Cape Town and an
MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Craig Davis

Craig Davis is the National Vice President of the Innovative Business
Solutions Group for SAP America, Inc., and is responsible for the
revenue and margin objectives of the North America region’s
SAP Custom Development sales team. In his previous role, Davis was
responsible all services sales engagements and revenue accountability
for the region’s mid-market customer segment. Davis has been
with SAP for more than thirteen years, during which time he has held
a variety of services sales positions, each with increasing responsibility.
Prior to joining SAP, Davis worked for Boeing, Inc. as a manufacturing
manager in the company’s helicopter division. Davis holds a
Bachelors of Science from University of Scranton.

Eric Klein, Jr.
Vice President, Java Software Marketing

Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Eric Klein is a product marketing executive with extensive
experience developing and marketing best-in-class consumer
and media solutions that include hardware, software, and service
components. His passion is creating products and platforms
that intuitively solve real customer problems at the intersection
of mobile, consumer, location-based services, and entertainment.
As Sun's VP of marketing for Java technology, Klein's team
is responsible for the strategy, roadmap, strategic partnerships,
and marketing for Sun's Java platform. His last role before
joining Sun was as the senior director of product marketing
at Dash Navigation, a KP/Sequoia startup that shipped the world's
first two-way connected personal navigation device, the Dash
Express. He has previously enjoyed product roles at Real Networks,
Palm, and Apple, and has started or played an early role in
a number of Bay Area startups.

Roger Lee
Battery
Roger joined Battery in 2001 and focuses on the software,
consumer Internet and digital media markets. Roger is currently
a board member at Angie's List, FreeWheel, Lotame, PrimeRevenue,
Spot Runner, TrialPay and World Golf Tour. He was on the board
of Insitu (acquired by Boeing), and he was a board observer
at Neoteris prior to its acquisition by NetScreen.
Before joining Battery, Roger spent 10 years as an entrepreneur
and operator. Most recently, he was a co-founder of Corio,
a leading managed service provider that was acquired by IBM.
At Corio, Roger oversaw all business development activities
and later became a General Manager of the e-commerce business
unit. Prior to Corio, Roger was the Manager of Internet Products
at Edify Corporation. Roger was also the co-founder and President
of NetMarket, an online consumer Internet service that was
acquired by Cendant Corporation. Roger graduated with distinction
from Yale University with a BA in Political Science.

Om Malik has more than 15 years of experience as a journalist covering
technology and business news. He was a writer at Red Herring during
its glory days, then went on to be part of the founding team of Forbes.com
as a Senior Editor.
Most recently, he was a Senior Writer for Business
2.0, covering telecom and broadband stories. His contributions have
been published in The Wall Street Journal, The Economist and MIT
Technology Review.
Additionally, Malik is the author of “Broadbandits:
Inside the $750 Billion Telecom Heist.” He is also the recipient
of many industry awards, including Excellence in Journalism from
the Society of Professional Journalists in 2001 and the Gold Award
from American Society of Business Publication Editors in 2001.

Eric O'Brien
Managing Director

Eric invests in digital media, datacenter infrastructure and semiconductors.
Additionally, he helps oversee Lightspeed's investment efforts in
China. He has ten years of venture capital experience and two years
of industry experience.
Previously, he worked in
product management at Ciena (formerly Lightera Networks). Prior
to Ciena, Eric served as an Associate at InterWest Partners, an
early-stage venture capital firm, where he focused on communications
and software investments, and as an Analyst at Morgan Stanley in
the telecom mergers and acquisitions group.
Eric holds a BA in Economics
from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University. He
is a member of the Advisory Board of DT Capital, a Shanghai-based
venture capital firm of which Lightspeed is a limited partner.
He is also Vice Chairman of Partners in School Innovation, an educational
nonprofit working to improve student learning in low-income Bay
Area public schools.

companies. Dana joined Matrix in 2008 from PayPal, where he was a
